The Short Version
BlurOutAI is built around one principle: your images never leave your device. All blurring, pixelation, and face detection happen locally in your browser. We never receive, store, or have access to the photos you edit.
What We Do NOT Collect
- Your images. Photos you edit in BlurOutAI are processed by code running in your browser tab. They are never transmitted to our servers. You can verify this yourself: load the tool, turn off your network connection, and it still works.
- Account data. The free tool requires no signup, no email, and no password.
- Content metadata. Because we never receive your images, we never see their contents, filenames, or EXIF data.
What We Do Collect
Usage quota (stored on your device)
The free tier allows 10 exports per month. This counter is stored in your browser's localStorage — on your device, not our servers. Clearing your browser data resets it.
Analytics (only with your consent)
If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage patterns: which pages are visited, approximate geography (country level), device type, and feature usage events (for example, "export clicked"). Analytics is configured with IP anonymization and never includes your images. If you decline cookies, no analytics data is collected.
Contact emails
If you email us (for example, to join the Pro waitlist at tnga86892@gmail.com), we receive your email address and message contents. We use this only to respond to you and, if you asked, to notify you when Pro launches.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or fingerprinting.
Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics 4 (optional, consent-based) — usage statistics. Google's privacy policy.
- Hosting/CDN — our hosting provider processes standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and reliability. Logs are retained for a limited period and never combined with analytics.
When paid plans launch, payments will be processed by a third-party payment provider. We will never see or store your full card number, and this policy will be updated before any payment data is collected.
Data Security
Because your images are processed locally, the most sensitive data involved in using BlurOutAI never touches our infrastructure. For the data we do handle (analytics, emails), we apply industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit and access controls.
Children's Privacy
BlurOutAI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, announce them on the site. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
